Default Lost the first three drownings of the year

A mother and two children washed away in a small creek in our county this morning. The father drove off into high water thinking they could make it. The car was washed away, he got out with the three-year-old in his arms and lost the baby. He was rescued out of a tree. The mother, the seven-year-old, and the three-year-old were recovered several hours later. Damn it, people, if you can't see the road don't drive into fast moving deep water.

People need to get a grip on the fact that 6 inches of moving water is enough to take a vehicle. Very sad...

I live on a large reservoir and its normal (unfortunately) to loose at least 2 each warm weather period and two out on the ice..

My reservoir is now 2' going over the dam. It filed up about 7' in depth in just a little over a week. Lots of down stream flooding and more rain coming!

Hurry cain Agnes? '72 Wash DC/Md.......left the first ex's place to head home and get ready for work, drove around in circles because of obvious problems, pulled up to a creek with the little bridge flooded up to the guard rail tops....looked at the water, did not SEE any current, the thought of the engine being too lo, and so did not forge the creek......'67 Grand Prix.....
