Yes. Live Oaks, Magnolias and others shed their leaves. Even palm trees shed their palms.

They've been moving here too. Black walnut are the last and they've got nothing yet. Lilac blossoms will be 2-3 weeks yet.

Crazy Lori planted this in 2006, I cut it down once but let it come back. Not sure what it is; I have the app on my phone, just haven't bothered looking yet. Blossoms will get much bigger in a week or so.

Hmm, while I was making this post, two Mallard drakes and one hen took off out of my creek from upstream and flew by about 20' from me.

Is there a different term for that, non-seasonal; more or less continuous process?

Another drake was apparently with them, and he decided to swim downstream.

Three males and one female . . . ? Hmm . . . This guy must have been the loser.

You must be at a low elevation since you seem to be ahead in the leafin'.

They can on the driveway side. Several stop in for a 5 second visit daily. Hence the driveway rock.

Google says it's called molting. Live oaks, magnolias, and others drop their leaves in the spring, not the fall, and they only drop 50% or so, which means the tree is never bare like deciduous trees in the north. Palms do it all year.

Might want to have an electric eye trigger some banjo music. That would keep them the hell out!

Those galvanized straps holding your pipes upper are a very early relative of my soup cans.

All that beauty and you're still an internet troll. You're more hopeless than I am.

Generally palm trees don’t shed their fronds. They stay attached and hang dead until cut and removed.
Left alone they create what we call a palm tree beard.
Most arborists and naturalists recommend leaving the “beard”. But all the damn yankees want them removed because they don’t know any better.
