TOTY!!,,, explain 'our car' meaning and origin

So, I have been a dood on the forums for around 18 years, mainly here, LS1Tech and the inferior forum.

The first two mentioned were very alpha male, in-your-face, no PC, but the inferior one had at least a few dozen posts stating 'our car' in the generations' general section; many post pics of the 'our' owners, while LS1Tech pics are mostly the car at an event.

I do not understand, as my wife has never played a role in selecting or paying for MY CARS, there are MY CARS, an important component of my life.
Never have I called them 'our cars', when I pass they can be, at her discretion, 'her cars', but not our cars.
I pick my cars, pay for my cars, mod my cars, drive my cars, break my cars, there is ZERO burden to the wife, she prefers it that way.
She, with intent, always refers to mine as MY cars.

While happily married, and more in love than our wedding day, we have always mutually agreed that there are things that are 'ours', and other items that are mine, and hers.
For instance, it is her closet, her shoes, her bathroom dresser, her side of the fridge, her living room-the bar is mine, her relatives, her credit cards, etc...

Is this calling a car OURS:
1) pussification by a male who no longer is allowed to have pursuits
2) unintentional misuse of our language
3) orders from wife
4) a prerequisite to join an emasculated inferior forum
5) allegiance to greta's army
6) testosterone reduction pills
7) punishment for banging outside the marriage
8) consistent with a depends joe voter

BTW, the wife can ride with me when she choses, she can drive any car any own, which has never happened in 20 years as she says they are obnoxiously loud--this was not intentional by me.

BTW 2, it is our children, our dogs, our house, our bank and asset accounts, BUT will never be OUR cars!!

Pretty certain when labelled 'OUR' car, the man must submit a request for the keys, along with a driving plan / route.

The Vette is mine and she refers to it that way. While she has driven it in a pinch, she doesn't like to. All the other vehicles are "ours".

Sounds plausible, but if so, and if a Vette, where does on put the doggies??

Never meant this thread to jab at anyone's economic position, as assumed almost all who own a Vette have at least one, if not more, other vehicles.

Our take is this... we declared a union with our vows which for us means a sharing in all things. Both of us are signatories on the house, cars, bills etcetera. No separate beds, joint bank accounts, shared household duties, shared lives. Thus whatever we have is OURS because we do life together in all things. Been working for more than 30 years so far... YMMV.

Funny I was just thinking about this as I was reading over in one of the Gen sections. Someone I know has been using we/our and never did it with previous Vettes. Glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks it’s odd.

My first new car was purchased in '85 using the "Z" plan, which was a discount given to certain relatives of retired Ford employees. So Baby Doll's name was on the paperwork. Of course I made all the payments. So it was referred to as "our" car. "My" car was my old '72.

In the modern era, the classics are all mine, and we each had our daily.

Now that she's retired, sold "her" car and bought a truck for a second "daily". All titles are in my name so....

We did a lot of estate planning this past year. Some things are in my name and some in hers. To avoid much time and aggravation, we put things like cars, home and bank accounts in her name "OR" mine.

Also direct beneficiary. Out of it all, very little if any aggravation when that time comes
