Great story man! Sounds very familiar only I got my start restoring 2 old Porsche 914s. (poor man's Porsche)

Crazy how people will rag about resale value when it clearly doesn't even come into play for Carter.
Very nice looking mods and hella fun I'll bet. 2000 lbs and 150 hp is a great combo.

In the 80's My college room mate had a fjord blue 2002, my dad had a '75 Bavaria at the same time that I kind of claimed as my own. They were great old cars.

I will stick with my updated '72 vette convertible, and from experience of a buddy decades ago, it will be worth more than a stock car in another ten years, if not already......even though it is a street driver....

trick is like any car around, to watch for RUST.....

I'll do some digging. I've been compiling pics of my old cars and know I've got a couple shots of the old 914s.

I had a lime green '71 1.7 and a blue '76 2.0. Always lusted after the 914/6 models but I couldn't afford them.
