yes. They work great. Also very good for marinating meats quickly.

I like mine so much that I bought one for my brother on his birthday and both he and his wife like how it tenderizes and marinates steaks quickly. I use mine on beef, pork, and chicken.

We use ours a lot. Maily for buying in bulk at Costco then breaking it up into smaller packages for freezing.

Yeah, they don't seem to have much longevity.

We've seen little difference from the cheapies from walmart and the nicer models ordered online.

Between those and blenders, I am never surprised when I see them show up in the amazon cart.

I freeze chicken and pork, but I just use zip lock baggies. That kind of thing won't be in the freezer more than a month or so, and it always comes out fine. I never froze beef, though, other than hamburger. If I get a pack of two or three steaks, I'll eat steak for dinner for two or three days in a row, respectively.

Ditto. Plus it’s a must if you use a Sous Vide.

We also use it when I smoke a packer brisket and pulled pork. We freeze it. And then use the Sous Vide @ 145 degrees and it’s just like it came out of the smoker.

Yep. Good deal for pre and post cooked stuff. On our third, but it's been almost twenty tears.

Latest was T-Bones on sale and a Brisket Point that we smoked. When there are only a couple people in the house, these machines are pretty good value.

Agree with others that the sous vide aspect is also really good. You can seal it with whatever spices (herb butter and rosemary?) and just kill it with a reverse sear.

My Father lived in Florida and vacuum packed EVERYTHING he wanted to keep humidity away from. I still have knives and rifles he packed. For the rifles he would buy the rolls of cut to length bags, seal an end and roll out enough to fit the rifle. Everybody thinks it's silly, until they realize what good shape many things of his are in....

I got a commercial quality packager. Bought it about 15 years ago. Works great. I use it for meat mainly. Gotta keep that jerky dry

Simple operation once I got it dialed in. Put it under the lid, hit the button, and wait until it shuts off/vents. Vacmaster VP210 -

I've got a LEM - beast, but not quite in Torq's league.

https://www.lemproducts.com/product/...vacuum-sealers

We package 2 deer, 8 Guinea hens, 10 pheasants and shitloads of other stuff each year. Vacuum sealer is a must have. Hell, it's worth it it just to break down the mega packs from Costco.
