Default Need Your Opinion

I get a shitload of recruiters contacting me on LinkedIn. The one recruiter contacted me back in march about a position that is very similar to what I do now, except on a slightly different platform (AOSP) that I have no prior experience with. I asked if prior experience was a must or would there be time for me to learn, and was told it was a must.

Fast forward to yesterday, when this same recruiter contacted me again about this same position - seems they are having a hard time filling it. I am tempted to reply with something like "you know, if you'd hired me back in March I'd have been fully up to speed on AOSP by now."

Should I do it?

I agree.
Most of them, 95%, are just trying to get people in interviews, regardless
of experience.
It's like "Key" words in ebay ads; they scan resumes' for key words, and up pops candidates.
Before retiring from professional work, I ignored all unsolicited recruiters, only
applying to companies I was willing to work for.
The few times I did talk with recruiters, if I turned down their request
to submit my resume, they'd always ask for other recommendations
of possible recruits. I'd also turn down that request.

I learned BASIC on a Commodore 64 and wrote the text based game: Maze of the Minotaur

This was back in 1984. My idea was bound to be stolen
