Wait just a minute you are the one that went after a kid even after you had an agreement with the parents. An agreement? Terry washed her hands of him, leaving her neighbors, and ultimately the police, to deal with him.

Regarding "kid" and "child", the oversized 17 year old had already accosted other neighbor adults who had confronted him.
