Feast of the Seven Fishes
As a VIP and Seven Fishes Club Member at an International Seafood Supplier, Samuels and Sons Seafood, I’ve been invited to a 12 members only feast! So, the Mrs.and I will be attending tomorrow evening hosted and served by their in house Chef!
Many years ago, we celebrated the Xmas holiday Eve Seven fishes feast with a close family friend. Of course a nice Italian family, a site to see! It was delicious!! Do any of you guys put on a feast? Let’s here what you serve??? |

No, but an attorney I know sent me two stone crab dinners every Christmas for ten years, I think he retired as have not received the last three years.
I used to do a company holiday dinner for the staffers a while back, picked a nice restaurant, most enjoyed, a few complained, so I stopped doing so and now give gift cards. |

Every year I go to Costco, buy about $400 worth of individually wrapped chocolates, as many different varieties as they have, tape my business card to each then drop them off at my biggest client's office. The women in the office go nuts. Then I give a short lecture to save the brunt of these to the guys that come in early, gear up and go out to dig dirt and install repairs. Because without them, none of us pencil pushers and bean counters would have jobs.

The wife and I are big fans of seafood but living in Nebraska makes it a challenge.
Tried to get my brother to bring a couple of Maryland crab cakes back while he was visiting his daughter but he failed. Will be visiting N.H. next summer and every meal except breakfast, will be seafood.

I've always wanted to do it, but there are rarely more than us two on Christmas eve. I think I've made many of the dishes as single meals. I love cioppino, so I make that as often as the wife can put up with it. Grilled sardines are awesome if you can find fresh sardines. I'd probably do some kind of crudo. Whole fried flounder or branzino. Squid ink pasta and clams.
Now I'm just getting hungry... |
