A "Mountain Park" in Alabama?

Sure, except there are no mountains in Alabama, just some hills.

Having offroaded in Jeeps at several places here in Alabama, I can tell you what while they may not be mountains (technically, the terrain here IS the tail of the Appalachian mountains, just worn down) like you'd think of out west, the hill climbs, especially when muddy, are damned tough. The thick-as-snot mud gets in treads, even in mud terrains, and can be tough to clear for good traction.

Throw in a short wheel base like my TJ or the Miata, and it can be VERY tough climbing.

Horsepower isn't his issue - running those tires on Alabama dirt/mud is. Mud terrain or go home.

You can have all the HP you can handle, but if you just spin the wheels, you still aren't going anywhere or getting up that hill. LOL

Anyone who has tracked a Miata know it can be manly-ish lol. Or at least a damn good bit of fun.

No doubt.

I learned four wheeling in CO and UT in real mountains. I've never been into mudding.

Mudding 20 minutes of fun followed by hours of cleaning and never get it all.

Me either, for exactly the reason mentioned below. Mud gets EVERYWHERE and can tear things up.

I don't seek out the mud, but around here, we don't have the sandy type of mud. We do have rocks (limestone), but nothing like the sandstone and such out west.

This stuff is snot and even a thin top layer of this stuff can make any climb a challenge, especially with street or all-terrains.

If you have ever watched or driven in a Miata race, those mofos are crazy. It takes about 20 min after to pick up all the body parts left on the track.

Never considered trying to fit into one. It'd probably look as stupid as I felt trying to shoehorn myself into a Saturn. Sure, it can be done, just can't move any body parts afterward
