Mid 70s is the new mid 50s. Go get yourself a sugar momma and ride the gravy train to Nirvana, bring a pup or two with you on her dime.

We drove from Huntsville, AL to NW Missouri, to pick up a blue heeler.

We already have one from them (a working cattle ranch who also breeds heelers). Our first was deaf/special needs and why we picked him. They contacted us about another deaf dog they had and asked if we wanted her. Yup!!!!

Totally worth it, but she's a nut! LOL

First pic is the day we picked her up (about 3.5 months old). Second pic was taken this past weekend (6 months old).

Giant breeds have shorter lives. My Neo only made it 8 years before dying from stomach torsion. Super smart dog and it never barked without a reason... OP must hate his neighbors

I lost my two toy poodles at 20 years of age within a few weeks of each other this past June, they were great dogs.

Tried going without, couldn't do it. These are the newbies, the one on the left is a Maltipoo and the other is a Shihpoo although I think they slipped and Ewok in on me.

Well - I've seen some quality "assisted living" places in both Virginia and Florida and they can transition you to nursing care when the time comes - and after that, well take somce comfort in the fact you can still vote and Biden will talk to you and in a late breaking development, apparently elected to public office.

Yeah, we were forced to put down our 14 year old beagle Mocha, just a few months ago.....She was the best beagle we've owned. Her fur was especially soft, and she was 100% pure heart!

My wife is the beagle lover, with many matching traits, she had (before covid) a sense of smell like nobody and she never shuts up either! They are a particular breed for sure...

The Mrs. has had a beagle in her life since she was a young child, this will be her 5th! All of our beagles, have all lived long lives, one made it to 19 years old!

Very cute dogs. Always impressed with how loudly beagles can snore, given their size.

One of our neighbors has a beagle. Cute pup, but noisy when it wants to be.
Any sightings of Old Joe?

Just some funny, here are the list of family dogs through the years:

George, white Haveshon, was and is the greatest ever, made it to age 14, named for George Strait
Freddie, grayish Aussie Minature Shepherd, damn fast, named for Freddie Mercury
Ringo, mostly Yorkie, pound rescue, mean mo fo, named for Ringo Starr
Charlie, Aussie Shepherd and others, was not meant for domestic life, now is a ranch dog, he is missed but doing much better, named for Charlie Daniels
Dolly, aka Dolly Dolly, only female we have owned, she was named for the Queen, Dolly Parton

I hope my next dog, soon, will be a German Shepherd male, will be named Hank for Bocephus.

My life is now doggies first, and I could not be happier, I have enjoyed the past week with Ringo and Dolly, the wifey returns Saturday night, and they will forget about me, as their loyalty to her is unmatched, which is fine with me, she feeds them so that plays a hugely part.

Get a dog and enrich your life, hell, get two!!
