Also, where are you planning on using the thing? If you are going to run all over town with it, maybe you would like the 3G coverage. Mine has yet to leave the house.

I didn't think the 3G was worth it for my use.

Sorry for the post. I have the iPad 1. I should have kept my trap shut.
no, thats what i needed. i want to use mine for when i travel out of the country. i will be downloading pics from my camera, surfing the net and making movies from the pics mainly.

i am clueless on this type of thing. so if i get one of these, i dont have to pay verizon any more money if i stick with the wifi option?

True. If you get the Wifi only version like I have, you pay the purchase price of the iPad, and you're finished.

I believe ATT allows you the option to pay for 3G service on a month to month basis. No contract per say. So if you only need 3G service for 2 months/year, thats all you are required to pay. Two months. I am not sure whether Verizon has this option.

Kim go by an apple store and play with one. I got the wifi version as well. There are a ton of free wireless spots. As far as memory I got the 32 gb middle of the road, but I had close to 16 gigs of music alone so I needed the bump in memory. you will like it. Very easy to use.

Honestly, I would get the largest storage you can. 64GB.

As for typing on the touch pad, it's a little strange at first, but you will get the hang of it on no time.

And yeah. They are expensive. Would I buy another? In a heartbeat.

Well, we use it while on the road. It's easier to see and faster than trying to use our iPhones.

Wife also got the blu-ray keyboard. She likes it a lot.

Exactly my thoughts. I have the first gen and didn't really think the 2 was worth the upgrade (especially since I got mine for free ). But if 3 has the retina display and even more processing power, it may be worth it. I can still keep my first gen around for an Apple TV remote or Kindle reader or whatever

I have a question on printing with the iPad 1 version. What program does the barn use? I just got mine used and find it almost like my iPhone and like that. My iPhone has been broken so I tether my iPad as I do my laptop when out of the office or home, cool I have a connection on a larger device

I have never printed off mine. If I want to print something, I mail it to my desktop, and go from there.

Quiet! I LOVE my mullet, bell bottoms, roller skates, records, and 8 tracks!

You have NO idea what a panty dropper roller skating around the lake with your mullet flowing is young lady.

I didn't think I'd use my 3G on my iPad, infact I didn't even turn it on for the first few months...but once I did, my iPad 2 goes everywhere with me, and is incredibly useful. I've got the 64gb Verizon 3G, i havent touched my laptop since I bought this.

The 64gb might be more a I originally needed, but I've filled it wi movies and pictures, and use my dropbox, which integrates really well with my iPad. I just can't recommend the 3G feature enough.

There are more then a few apps you can use. Also if you have a newer style wifi printer you can google directions on how to set up your printer to work with your ipad.

So what do you use, as I want to get a mobile printer to print from the iPad 1?
