Default Gun safe recommendations
Looking to buy my first safe. Currently only 4 long guns and and 5 hand guns. None are super valuable collector pieces and I don't plan on buying a whole lot more guns. Looking at something that could hold up to 10 long guns but want something with flexibility for smaller items also.

Primary purpose will be to secure them when we are not home

What types of things should I look for

Everyone is prolly out of all of those too....
Anything gun related is just about impossible to get these days.. It's ridiculous.

Get a black one...They're nice, I guess.

get one bigger than what you need now
See is it has an "auto locking" feature in case of attempted break in or drilling

I'm looking between Fort Knox and Liberty Safe.

Fort Knox is the better safe, but the price is a bit higher. Liberty has a good local dealer and one of the better fire ratings.

Go bigger than you need...I bought an 18 gun in December...I only owned 3 long guns at the time...it's now full make sure it's solidly bolted to the floor, and a good fire rating.

As said above, definitely go bigger than you need now. Things tend to multiply in there.
