I think Florida might have one of those laws that protect people from civil suits in justified self-defense. Saying he's justified is the same as sayig the other guy was a criminal and criminals are not allowed to profit off the innocent.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The special prosecutor in the Trayvon Martin shooting case says she will make an announcement about the case within 72 hours.

In a statement released late Tuesday, Jacksonville State Attorney Angela Corey -- appointed special prosecutor in the Seminole County death investigation -- didn't specifically say what the announcement will be.

On Monday she confirmed she would not be presenting evidence in the case to a grand jury, meaning she will be making the decision whether to charge George Zimmerman with a crime for fatally shooting the 17-year-old Martin.

The neighborhood watch volunteer says he was acting in self-defense when he shot the unarmed Martin on Feb. 26. Martin's parents say Zimmerman attacked their son. The case has raised questions about racial profiling.

Martin was black; Zimmerman's father is white and his mother is from Peru.

Meanwhile, former lawyers for Zimmerman say he's suffering from high levels of stress and unable even to perform the simple task of buying a soda because of the intense public scrutiny he's under.

Hal Uhrig and Craig Sooner announced Tuesday they were no longer representing Zimmerman because they haven't heard from him since Sunday.

Against their advice, the attorneys say Zimmerman contacted special prosecutor Angela Corey, who will decide if he should face charges, but prosecutors in her office refused to talk to him without his lawyers present.

Corey's office didn't say exactly where or when her news conference would be held, but that the media would be given three hours notice of the time and place.

I don't think he'll need to be in a non-extradition country. I don't think he's going to be charged. I do think he deserves government protection for a while. Especially considering how weak the governments response has been to the bounty placed on his head.

The difference is that OJ went and pulled all of his insanity on his own accord. Nobody had a bounty on his head. Nobody would have shot him walking down the street. Spike Lee wasn't sending out his address telling people to "go get him".

What would you do if you had people publicly offering a reward for your death and realizing that law enforcement and DOJ was just going to let it happen? Can you imagine what odumbass, holder, and the media would be saying if the KKK publicly offered a million dollar reward for the death of a black man????

And, of course, election year politics figures highly into all of this. At first, Obama said he was content to let the state judicial system runs its court and did not comment on the case.

A few days later, he balked on that remark and said "If I had a son, he'd look like Trevon" indicating his support for the Martin family and leaning away from Zimmerman's.
