Default Anyone had experience with this string trimmer?

I have almost a mile of fence that needs trimming. My hand-held weed whacker just can't handle it. This product from Wal-Mart has great reviews:

My neighbor has a DR string trimmer that he's been using for 10 years. He's had such good luck with that one he purchased another for his place in the mountains.

The only thing that has worn out on his is the half ball the string spool is in.

I have not had a bad experience with that string trimmer.

Can you contract Utah to use his flamethrower to burn the brush on your fencelines? You'll get a nice burnished patina on your t-posts and wood h-braces.

Baring that, I agree with the herbicide solution. Glyphosate+ 2-4D every few months ought to do the trick. Alternatively, use Oust. It's more expensive per acre, but you get extended control. It's what we use in chemical plants, pipeline installations, etc. For what you are wanting to do, a 3 lb jug will last you for years.

Mix used engine oil about 2 parts to 3 parts gasoline, strain through a towel, so to make sure your garden sprayer don't clog up.....it won't grow back for months, if ever....

I use a potent mix of roundup on my fence line. I do not believe in trimming around shit. Kill it early in the season...wash, rinse, repeat.

Roundup here too.....
Got tired of trimming. Treat it like illegal aliens, no free haircuts, just death....
