FYI, the word Elohim is old Hebrew for the one God, it's is used throughout the bible, that just shows you how out of context all this is taken. Anyone can take a cell phone video and throw captions on it to put it in any context they like. FYI, anyone can go see for themselves if they want, no need for secret videos. There is nothing secret here, anyone can come see for themselves, nothing to hide.

Here's the thing, you don't want to be a Mormon, don't. If there are members that don't want to be, they can go as they will. There's nothing strange or abhorrent here, but keep throwing a person's religion under the bus.

Here's what we know about Romney, he is an honest man with no skeletons in his closet. He is a loving and caring father and husband. He has donated a large part of his personal time helping others and he donates a vast part of his resources to his church. Having been in some of the same leadership roles he has, it takes many, many hours a week away from your personal life to care for those in his charge.

All you want to do is place a doubt over this man because of the way he worships God. Why is that so important to you? Are you confused because you have no faith and therefore no one should as it is completely beyond your ability to comprehend that some one may have a faith or are you just afraid of what you don't know?

YOU better get used to it as it becomes more likely every day that a Mormon will be in the oval office.

It's OK, he really thinks this is a new "revelation" (see what I did there). There have been books out there for years and years about this. The difference here is that it is easier to get the word out about stuff like this because of the new social media and people like Phil don't have to do the leg work to read, they can just watch a short video.

Let's call this what it is, it's just like Jimmy Carter's grandson pretending to be a Romney contributor so he could get some video to be used against Romney. In this case some guy pretended to be someone he wasn't to go somewhere he had to get into under false pretense in order to get some video he could use against Romney. Then all he has to do is wait for some dupe like Phil to come along and post it places like here, that's all it is.

What is offensive about this one is the way they use subtitles to take everything out of context. For instance, the women using veils and trying to associate that to Sharia law. Having been there I can tell you it is a thinly veiled (ha, see what I did again) attempt to associate Romney to being no better than Sharia law. The veil has no significance as is alleged.

If someone, (Not just Phil) post's something so out of left field it makes no sense or the post is simply to inflame or incite some sort of response, I typically ignore it. I admittedly didn't always do this, but I'm getting better about it.

Take this thread for example. I made a SOMEWHAT tongue in cheek comment that if Mitt is elected, this place will damn near fold since virtually every post is about the upcoming election. There was a response here calling me a Troll. In days past, I would have probably responded in kind. No more. It's just gotten old and worn out for me to constantly spar with some people who bring nothing to the table but insults. They're certainly entitled respond like this, but I don't have to be drawn in.

I've learned a few thing's on this forum about the Conservative point of view. Perhaps it hasn't changed my mind about too much, but I have a bit more understanding than I did before. (Always a good thing) I would also like to THINK maybe some people here have had a similar experience. I'll never change a single mind here, and I'm not trying to. But maybe some people will at least recognize not every left leaning person is a complete lunatic.
