Default So what am I going to need

When I do the header swap? It has already been suggested new plug wires, and I am guessing go ahead and get new plugs while I am at it. Anything else I am going to need?

Any particular brand wires and plus that are suggested?

I'd suggest:

NGK TR55 spark plugs
GMPP plug wires (GM part # 12495519 )
Round port "F-body" MLS header gaskets (GM p/n 12617944) - Qty 2.

(optional) If you have an extra $100 laying around you don't know what to do with... The ARP header stud kit is pretty sweet, and makes hanging the headers (and gaskets) on the heads mighty easy.

ARP 434-1301 ARP Header Stud Kits

You need Sneaks patented header install trick. Only $19.95, plus shipping and handling. Get yours today!
OK, I'll give you a free trial offer. Get to Lowes or Home Depot and buy yourself 3, 2 inch long bolts of the same thread as your header bolts. Take them home, and cut the heads off the bolts.
When you start to hang your headers and gaskets, thread these 3 bolts into the head. One front, middle, and rear. Hang the gaskets, then the headers, on these. Install a couple header bolts, remove these, then install the rest of your header bolts. Repeat process on the other side.
Makes doing headers by yourself a helluva lot easier.
Your free trial ends at midnight tonight, so hurry da hell up and get them headers installed man!

Nice idea for doing the install on floor jacks, I like MSD wires and the TGK Plugs

Don't forget a can of "PB Blaster". Soak everything ahead of time to ease removal. Maybe a pair of spark plug wire pliers.

Zero need for aftermarket plug wires.... zero benefit. Find someone on CF who spend $150 on aftermarket plug wires that's selling them cheap. I purchased a spare set a few years back for $15.
