Years ago the Sheriff's dept. here had a standoff for about six hours with two guys who had done an armed robbery and were parked on the side of the road. They were both dead before the cops got there, having apparently shot each other.

One of the times I'll always remember in my police career involved a stuffed animal.
We have a beer distribution center in my town. Always a target for the local rednecks who love the idea of Budweiser for free, an alarm call there always got us rollin'. I'd been with the department a couple of months when we got an alarm call about 2am there.
My Sergeant and I responded, along with the manager, who unlocked the door so we could clear the building...When we got to the owner's office to clear it, my Sergeant let me take point. HE knew the owner was a big game hunter. I did not.
I rounded the corner, and came face to approximate knee with a full body mount stuffed grizzly in attack mode.
His grizzly nearly got shot again. lol
