For the sake of some of my clients, I hope that you are wrong, though I have positioned them well over the last few weeks just in case. For me personally, I hope you are right on...I have been waiting for some blood.

A double edged sword, hu?.....
Well, you say clients, so you must manage money professionally. It's funny how your gut told you to do the right thing with your own money, but you're playing both sides of the fence with others... I'm not questioning your tactics one bit, but it's really interesting to get that insight from how a pro operates.....
I want blood too. I'm in a Bond & Mortgage fund exclusively now, since 1460... It's up .48% so far, and the 401k is now at 24%.... I just may hit my 25% goal after all the blood dries up, after all....
Good luck Admiral, and thanks for the honest insight on how a manager thinks...You gotta have some skin in the game, just in case, for them.....

I am not a fund manager but I have a wealth management practice in which I manage the financial affairs of about 65 households, all of which I care DEARLY about. A correction as forecasted will not derail their goals or affect their lifestyles. We have had a tremendous year thus far and I would rather be prudent than greedy with many of them.

The simple truth is that I cannot take the same risk for them that I take for myself, not without getting sued or banned from practicei. Leveraged ETFs are not for everyone, especially if they are inverse.

Thank YOU for sharing your thoughts...you have been correct many times before.

It is very commendable on how you manage other people's money, as opposed to your own. I caught your drift the first time around..I would do the same, if I were in your position. Notice I don't tell people to buy or sell. I just give my opinion, and if people want to reallocate, or trade from that, that's their business... The only people that I do tell what to do is a few coworkers, and family...They rarely listen though, but always come back, and say, damn ! I should have listened to you...
Watch ROSG, for shits & giggles.... That's my play money stock right now..
I bought at $6, and sold at $13. Bought back at $6 again,a bit early mind you, and it's been running all week now... I'm hoping that lightning strikes twice...

Thanks, Jeff. Likewise, you are right about stating your opinion. Mine has been wrong since early August, when I was expecting a correction...which is why I only play around with a portion of my assets!

I know you've talked about ROSG before--that thing is a loose cannon, very volatile! That was a great move you had on it. With volatility comes opportunity for people like you, so good luck in your trading and may your lightning strike again!

If the S&P closes below 1460 on Friday, that will then confirm a downward trend.

You're buying the rounds at the Sundowner if I can ever make it up there.

Watch how they keep the S&P up over 1460 all day, and then close just under it... These guys know how to keep retail in the game.....

Just like Jeff said, it stayed above most of the day until shortly before the close. In the last minute or so, it jumped up above 1460.

Our joint prediction that October would suck is coming true. Patience and cash is going to pay off well this year end.

Now.....The market has been going sideways all week. That being said, I am really feeling comfortable that I made the right call, at the right time.
Will there be an October correction..?? I sure hope so. I need a great re-entry point.
Any other theories out there ?

I'd be down if I wasn't in the Bond & Mortgage fund that I reallocated to.
I'm up .53% as of yesterday's close, since reallocating. Today will be a big gainer for that fund, as it seems to move the opposite of the market in general...
24.1% up ytd, now.... Less than 1% to go to achieve my goal of 25% !
I'm stoked ! If you did that, every year for 20 years, you'd be sittin' pretty. I've got 7 years in a row, except for one , doing that.
5 years ago today, the market hit it's all time high...Happy anniversary !
