Why don't we just cancel the season, declare Danica the winner of every race and the championship and go ahead and induct her in to the hall of fame?

Actually the decision was made during the NFL fiasco not knowing if the superbowl was going to be delayed and they did not want to interfere with that.

Yes they do.. Wanna know why? They didn't disappoint the TV sponsors who paid MILLIONS for prime time weekend TV ads that now won't be seen because the race is today, they didn't disappoint hundreds of thousands of fans who paid good money and were in attendance that now can't go because they have to work today, they didn't disappoint the millions of fans who sat idle wanting to watch the race on TV but now can't becasue they are at work... I can go on... Quit being pussies change your tires and go to work..

Most all other series race in the rain (even moto gp) why can't Nascar?

Do they race in the rain on ovals? I think not.

BTW more rain = more delays..

Projected 7pm start.. Guess between the rain and fans and sponsors bitching they pushed it out to prime time.

You mean other than cancelling the last 20% of the race because they couldn't make a lap without half of the field in the grass. Right?

Name 1 single series that races on an oval in the rain.

What would be the point? Sure... it's easy to say "quit being pussies" but if they did, it would be the most ridiculous, boring, pathetic race in the history of racing.

The Moto GP guys see top speeds of about 100 in the wet. Short of F1 (which you can't compare) the top speeds any series see in the rain are in the low 100 range. A 100 mph Daytona 500? Yea, that's be a blast for all to watch. You really think that is a better solution than waiting a day and actually getting a good race??

Did you watch the 2010 24 when it was raining for the first few hours?

It was like watching paint dry with cars crawling around the high banks.
