Don't forget the virtual reality headset. You can get spreadsheets and desktops in VR too, nowadays.

Graphics I built for a different thread, clearly show the benefit to a user like me. Old vs. new setup.

Won't work. These are 28" monitors. Plus I need them to curve around in a half circle.

Also just found out that not all of them have the screw holes for the brackets, so going to best buy now to buy 2 additional monitors, so the first row will be sitting on the desk as they are now, the 2nd row will all have the brackets, and the top row will be free standing on a shelf built on the top of the structure.

Those USB to HDMI adapters I recommended work great on my system!

I don't have any more HDMI cables. 8 new 15 footers are on their way.

Don't forget the zip ties and twine for running a stitch. You are going to have some serious cable management going on.

my scrap pile is mostly pine. little bit of hardwood in a smaller pile. very little exotic lumber in my shop. and some of that was given me by Simpleman (Scott) a few years ago. nice little pile of lacewood and wenge. i've used most of the lacewood for little projects, like a jewelry box for Mrs. DAB. the wenge is interesting stuff. if you get a splinter into your skin, it will (not might) get infected. so still have a fair amount of that left, waiting for a proper use.

working on a bandsaw box next. out of oak scraps. trash into treasure. at some point though, even those cutoffs get too small to be useful. bye bye.

today's projects:

a dozen 4 foot long 2x2s (made out of 2x4s) with holes at each end: fault lines for the pistol range (used in IDPA matches, they define the limit of where you can stand and shoot around walls and barricades).

little box with 2 lids: will house some electronics that activate running man targets. we'll place a chunk of 2x2 in the lid, that will be pulled out and the closing lids will complete the circuit and cause the moving target to move. various ways to pull the wood out of the lid: from falling steel targets, from stomp boxes, by pulling on a cord with your hand.

nothing fancy, but the range needed these done.
