What I've heard say is that she did okay, given there was no method for reigning either of them in, other than talking over them. No bell, no mic control. They individually set their own agendas and didn't much listen to her, or each other. Again, I didn't watch.

This is pretty much how it went.

Moderator: Mr. Pence, how would a Trump administration handle the Syrian crisis?

Pence: First of all, the policies the Obama administration, and direct actions taken by the State Department under Secretary Clinton...

Kaine: Trump needs to turn over his taxes! (talks for two more minutes.)

Moderator: Mr. Pence, your time is up. Mr. Kaine, how important of an issue is this tax situation for Mr. Trump?

Kaine: Well, since he doesn't pay any taxes, he's responsible for 9-11. (no really, Kaine said this). Also he thinks Mexicans are rapists and killers, and will round them all up and put them in gulags.

Kaine was like the little boy who can't sit still.

Quijano would start a question by citing a poll; she did this twice.

Those without an agenda - don't trust polls to begin with. But she thought these polls reflected noteable facts. Big mistake IMO for the moderator to cite polls during a debate; does no more than expose the moderators own personal beliefs and leanings.
