I think we all know why Danica is here, for RATINGS! SHe is a good driver, but her sponsors etc all wanted/needed her for the ratings. No one even spoke to or about the girl in the Nationwide race, who did better and is 19!!!
ratings ratings ratings. It is an entertainment show just like Wrestling. Not saying its fixed, just saying its entertainment, and she is a good looking lady who sells tickets for NASCAR, just like when NASCAR starting recruiting certain men to attract women viewers.

Sadly, you are correct. I'm just frustrated at the media pimping out an average, at best, driver that is being used due her being a female.

I don't think he did. You could see Earnhardt trying to get him to go, and he never moved. Had he went, I think Earnhardt would have won.

If he would have gone on the back stretch... it would have been a race to the checkers between him and the 88. If he timed it right, off of 4 it would have been pretty tough for Jr. to clear Kenseth AND get past Biffle.

You are a race car driver in the biggest race of the season. At least give it a try! He had a shot to win the Daytona 500 served up on a platter with NOTHING to lose and didn't take it.

I wonder how that 3rd place will taste when he looks back on it 10 years from now. To lose is one thing. To not even try is another.
