Face it- We can either fight over there and hopefully make it better or they will move here. This is why I think we need to invade Mexico. Oust those corrupt POS leaders and install our own corrupt POS leaders.

OH, most important no water, can't run a water pump/distribution system without electric power.....so they are forced to kill each other over some oasis or river bank....just like 150 years ago.....all 1.6 billion of them.....

You make a good point about the USA seeming to get involved in every conflict there is. To me, the problem is our Presidents sometimes want to go to war for the wrong reasons, and then during the war they want to play Generals: Lyndon Johnson meeting in the War Room of the White House with the military brass and telling them where to strike next in Viet Nam. George Bush and Obama calling for nothing but "surgical" air strikes and harming no civilians.

Let the Generals and soldiers fight the war and always use overwhelming force! Then get the Hell out of there! As it stands now, every piss-ant dictator/Country/war lord isn't afraid of us. One lesson of overwhelming force will fix that.

Handing over other peoples paychecks won't make them stop the lifestyle and irresponsible behavior that causes them to have hungry children and living in the streets in the 21st century USA.

And who joins the military thinking they will get to stay home - where it's safe?

Even the most liberal of societies will need be defended at some point. And to successfully fight off a foe, the country needs an already assembled & fully functioning military... with soldiers that like doing what they are trained to do. Otherwise they would lose the battle.

How do you keep a trained & equipped force - ready - for a moments notice deployment? Certainly by not keeping them home.
