Green Salsa en Fuego!
Well, I finally did it, I created a salsa so hot it's actually painful.
~boiled tomatillos and MANY boiled serrano peppers (boil maybe 5 minutes, until the tomatillos turn a lighter shade of green) ~onion ~avocado ~cilantro ~fresh garlic ~fresh squeezed lime I went a little crazy with the serranos, and now just a little bit salsa is all I want. My tongue is on fire as we speak. Since I'm trying to get healthy, I'm eating it with celery or carrots. Pros: ~healthy snack ~forced portion control ~don't really want to eat anything else with mouth literally on fire ~promotes hydration, I'm drinking ice water like crazy trying to put the fire out Cons: ~mouth on fire ~also mouth on fire ~did I mention my mouth is on fire? |
