At least you got a few apples this year. Birds pecked holes in mine, and then the ants took over.

I had an entire little orchard of apple and peach tress. Another little section of grapevines. Lost a few trees and now the animals just eat all the fruit lol

We have peach trees up at the farm. The deer eat all the peaches they can reach. All the "low hanging fruit"

I've thought about planting a couple of apple trees on my property.

The day my peach tree died I did a little happy dance. Never got more than a cobbler's worth of fruit, the rest would get ruined by birds and squirrels and then fall to the ground and rot, smeared around by the lawn mower, and just be a generally disgusting mess.

When I was a kid in Illinois there were some huge apple trees a block or two from our house. I'd climb them and munch green apples until my belly hurt. Also had some big mulberry trees. The adults would pay us kids to climb them and harvest the berries. One day I picked something like 10 gallons of them, my hands were stained purple for a week.
