Pinnacle Signature Series II Automotive Wax $60 a jar on Amazon.

I like the Duragloss line of products.

It is spendy. But it's just so wonderful to use. You literally just wipe it on and wipe it off, no elbow grease required...no drying to a haze, no powder residue etc. It smells wonderful, and is just an all around pleasure to use.

Prior to the Signature Series II, I waxed it with Pinnacle Souveran, which is $100 for a tub of the same size. The consensus is that the Souveran is better for darker colors, while the Signature Series is better for lighter colors. I can't tell much of a difference to be honest.

Either way, it's a great product. It is a show car wax, and durability reportedly isn't that great. 90 days is what most say. That said, I keep this thing parked inside with a cover on it most of the time...I don't drive it in the rain or bad weather. When I washed it today, it was beading like crazy. Last wax was a year ago with the Souveran wax.

I use mostly Adams stuff, but willing to try other products, too...might give it a try next time I do a full-on detail (just did both vettes this past fall, so it might be a while )

Nice! I have some Adams products. I used their 3 step Polish and Pads with my Porter Cable to do a pain correction on my wife's Highlander when she had it. She had taken it to a car wash for a "detail" and they royally fubar'd the thing. It looked like they used steel wool to apply the wax. Swirls everywhere.

Those Adams polishes did the trick though. Turned out good.

Thanks! I do a good wash with their shampoo to strip the old wax, then clay bar, paint cleaner, polish, and wax. I'm pretty well spent after 5 passes on 2 C4s

BTW, all of the above is done by hand, haven't gotten around to grabbing a Porter Cable yet. I'm sure once I do, life will be easier and I'll wonder why I didn't do it sooner

Looks good!

A quick buff with Menzerna, then a good detailer like Wash/Wax works well for me.

Have heard really good things on a Bimmer forum I've perused about Menzerna also there's a detailer who posts on there about using it as well as Pinnacle. BTW, your car looks great!

We are lucky to have so many good detailing products out there to choose from.

Thanks. Over the years, I've used just about every new space age product that has come down the line touting they are the best. I will basically use anything that works, I've checked the MSDS's of most products I use, and the ingredients are pretty much the same, just proprietary as far as break down of amounts and their "secret ingredients".

I've reviewed some articles about Menzerna, what I like the best was the no or little dust up when buffing, easy wipe up and buffs out nice with the MF rag after, so it also works as a detailer while buffing.

I just checked and they appear to still have a website selling product, but I hear less and less about them and more about other product lines these days...

TBH I never cared for Zaino, I found their products to be difficult to use/less user-friendly than others. I gave away a bunch of Zaino stuff to a former club member who loved it a while back. I actually won a complete set of it at a car show, so at least I wasn't out any $.

Yeah, there really are more practical alternatives to Zaino these days. I don't think they have really updated any of their product line for many years.

While Zaino is a great product, I don't care for the mixing aspect and the time consuming nature of applying it. It's easy to put on and take off, but holy hell it's time consuming.

Pinnacle is pretty no frills. It's 100% Carnuba. You wipe it on and wipe it off. That simple.

I use OTC products from Autozone on my truck, and it still looks like new. Meguiars Ultimate/NXT and Turtle Wax Ice Spay Wax. Great products, cheap and they work.

I still use Meguiar's and 3M. The paint on my truck is the original single stage from the factory. I can't find anything better than Meguiar's Show Car Glaze. After each wash I hit it with quick detailer and it really keeps up the shine and protection.

I've always wondered if these manufacturers get their stuff from 3M and just change packaging or add a touch of something to make it 'their' own....
