Yes, but before you go, check that all your lights are working properly, make sure your license plate is current, have insurance, and make sure you observe the speed limit and use your turn signal at least 100' before every turn. Make complete 3 second stops, too. Try to blend in with the traffic, and for God's sake, remove the dead hookers from your trunk, so in the unlikely event you DO get stopped, you won't have extra problems.

My BIL, who is a retired cop, told me probably 40 years ago to never use your high beams when out drinking.

If you flick your high beams off a second or two too late, and the oncoming car is a cop, there's a better chance that he will pull you over knowing that a delayed reaction might mean you've been drinking.

This actually happened to me about 20 years ago. I was shitfaced and my GF, who was sober, was driving. She flicked them off way WAY too late and sure enough, it was a cop, and he pulled us over.

Back in '90 or so Baby Doll and I went to a friend's wedding in New Hampshire. My car, a red '85 TBird, had NY plates. I got stupid drunk so she drove back to where we were staying in Massachusetts. The route took us through a small town with a traffic light at every intersection. It was like 1am, we were the only car on the road. They had timed the lights to make you stop at every one, maximum delay. On light 9 of ten or so, she mashed the gas pedal when it turned green, got to the posted limit and just made it through the last light.

Cop on the side street lit us up.

She pulled the car over and rolled the window down. Yes, actually rolled. Cop comes up and I lean over from the passenger side, got my face as close as possible and ask him why he stopped us. His second mistake was answering me. "Ran a red light."

I asked him where he had been situated when he observed this and he made his third mistake by answering me again. "On the side street."

I then explained to him that we had two witnesses that saw us cruise through the yellow, and we both had a far better vantage point than he did. He knew that he was fucked at that point, wasted as much tame as he could back in his car talking on the radio, then came back and issued a written warning.

Baby Doll was pissed, started reading him the riot act. I interrupted, told the cop "thank you" and we left.
