"Monday Morning 7/27: During the night *** chest tubes became dislodged. They did a repeat chest X-ray, pneumothorax in her right lung had basically resolved, pneumothorax in her left lung was the same size. Surgeon came around 6:15am to replace/reposition the chest tubes and we were waiting on chest X-ray to confirm position. Her oxygen levels began to drop for unknown reason and turned into an emergent situation. After additional chest X-ray it showed she had a tension pneumothorax in the left lung (causing severe collapse of her lung). The surgeon was able to come up immediately and placed a larger chest tube in her left lung, we had good result from that placement right away - chest X-ray showed it was in proper place and had allowed her lung to reexpand quickly. She is back on the ventilator, vitals remain stable, she is very sick but currently seems stable. We need big prayers for healing of her lungs and to getting rid of this horrible covid pneumonia"

OMG what a nightmare.
Chest tubes are no joke.
It's probably one of the most painful things that can be done to a human.

This is crazy. I know 11 people who have tested positive and were fine, including one very elderly man who just tested positive again, My husband knows one person and that person, 58 years old, passed away last week.
