After living in Utah where rock crawling is a huge deal, yes, sometimes rock crawlers are crazy. Some even go all out and build monsters.

If someone started with a "Corvette Fails," video, they'd probably wonder the same thing.

Offroading isn't all that different from open tracking. Know your limits, maintain your vehicle, etc.

Personally, I don't take my dog because I don't want him going through the brush and picking up fleas or ticks, or meeting an unfriendly serpent. No safety issue when he's inside the vehicle. He wears a safety harness in the car so he's basically wearing a seatbelt.

Considering the higher speeds and vastly larger number of morons on city streets, Fido is probably safer going rock crawling.
