Where's Mullet? This Chrysler job cutting into his football posting? Yikes.

Where's Vator?

The Cowboys faithful are being unusually quiet until Garrett shows what this years team might do. It's so very un-Cowboy like for everyone to be cautious. Even Jerry has had a low profile.

I guess 6-10 will do that.

At the intersection of two of your favorite topics - any chance DirecTV will have the Longhorn Network before the Rice game on the 3rd?


I sent them a note saying for what I pay for DirecTV I should get the Longhorn Network, two Russian Midget Wresting channels and an entire network devoted to fly tying. Instead, I get 20 spanish language channels and 12 hiphop radio stations.

I'm pretty sure they'll have it.

I don't now, however, what package it will be a part of, or if it will be an additional cost.

I wish they'd get going and start announcing who's going to be carrying it. I need either DirecTV (my house) or Time Warner (my parents house) to have it, otherwise I'm going to be hunting down a bar that does on the 3rd.

Locally, we get last year's 7-and-9 NFC West champs, the Seattle Seahawks vs the San Diego Chargers, who at 9-and-7 last year failed to make the playoffs.

It's going to be AWESOME.
Well, maybe not awesome, but it should be a pretty fantastic game.
OK, fantastic may be too strong a word, but it should be damn good, at least.
Perhaps not damn good, but worth watching, no doubt.

Aw, hell, maybe I'll just go for a walk instead.

Drew Pearson needs to be there, but I don't have an issue with putting Allen up there. He was a big part of Emmitt's record.
