I agree charge them back plus an inconvience charge for each time you have to find another parking spot or make them valet park your car for free each time they do it and charge a gas fee on top of it all...lol

That punishes an innocent for the calculated misdeed of the hotel. The guest who parked in the OPs spot would have no reasonable way to know that he was parking in an already-spoken-for spot.

While this would put the hotel staff on the spot via an angry guest complaining about being blocked in, it is still unfair to the innocent parker.

There already is a "Reserved" sign in the parking space. The parking attendant tells guests to ignore the sign. However, when I got to work this morning, my traffic cone was in place--the only one in place, incidentally.

Okay, so back to my original "park them in" advice.

Better yet, just key "The sign says 'Reserved', dumbass!" in the side of their car.

You could, (if you wanted) make the manager a friend instead of enemy by letting him know when you are out of town, or what weekends you aren't working and offer up your spot for his use at those times, with the understanding that if you need to come back unexpectedly, or if the person parking there doesn't move, you can park in their valet for free.

Dunno, maybe you could get him on your side instead of inflaming the position.
