I’ve probably owned at least 40 vehicles, and maybe closer to 50. Have never tried to make a list of them.

We were drinking beers this summer with friends and had this discussion.
I'm up around 20 and mrvette has me by a few decades.

One guy is mid 30s and has had 3 cars.
Four, if you consider that he bought the same truck twice.

Haven't owned any of those. Never ceases to amaze me how many different models/manufacturers there are rolling around now. The other day cops asked people to help watch for a specific car and I could only wonder what that even is. Never heard of it before

From sixteen to sixty, 235 so far.
No lie. This includes seven Corvettes, fifteen Camaros, fifteen Thunderbirds, and a slew of others. Most at one time was seven. Only ever bought one that wasn't running.
Only five or six motorcycles. This doesn't count some cars that belonged to spouses.

My brother has had more than that. Thirty in one year.

OK, 2-3 pleasure drives, maybe a fixup, and sold for profit......NO other way to justify that kind of turnover.....

I tried to count but over my nearly 50 year driving history there have been a shit ton of vehicles of all sorts. Standouts? How about a 1965 Fleetwood Brougham, driven home and then daily for $50.00? 1965 Chevy wagon with 2bbl 327 and a glide for $25.00 plus the cost of a new battery? 1967 Baja bug on 10.5/31s on the road all in for $150? 68 Skylark vert for $250 I only paid $450 for the 77 in my avatar... the list goes on and on.

We all laughed all the way to the bank... often. I asked my wife early in our relationship if we could afford some "toys". She said I can have any damned thing I want as long as I find a way to pay for it myself. I've had side gigs of all sorts for more than 30 years now and have had a bunch of stuff, and even more fun. And best of all we never had to borrow a dime to do any of it.

Drivers that belonged to Dad.
'56 Rocket 88 Olds*
'63 Chevy Pickup - 283/3 on the tree

My personal cars... Not wife's cars...
'69 Chevelle SS 396 (new)
'71 TR6
'78 MGB
'69 SS/RS 396 Camaro Vert. - Pace Car options but built at the Van Nuys plant.
'85 Corvette*
'94 Z28 vert (TripleBlackOne) Bought the very first 6 speed vert I saw.
'99 Camaro SS (bought from my son to keep him out of trouble... flipped inside of a year)
'04 Corvette vert (TripleBlackTwo)
'07 Corvette vert (Current TripleBlack)
* Indicates auto trans... not a slush box fan. The '85 Vette was cool but I regretted having an auto every time I turned the key.

This is really sad... only 9 cars of my own since 1969 and one of those, the MGB, was included only in the spirit of full disclosure. I should really only count 8. What am I doing on a car forum? Maybe I get some credit for owning a new '69 SS Chevelle when I was 17 but it's been all downhill since.

Wife's/"family" cars

Some early '70s Toyota Carina
'78 6.6 TA TransAm - Black on Black w/out the "Bandit" crap
'80 Buick Regal
'79 Buick Riv (to replace stolen Regal)

'83 Mazda 626 Hatchback
'90 Lexus ES300
2002 Madza 3 Hatchback

2004 E300 Benz

2008 Hyundai Sonata
2016 Acura RLX
2019 Acura RDX
