There's no doubt about that. Which is really part of the reason that this subject annoys me in general. Whether someone is gay, straight, or somewhere in the middle has absolutely no impact on my life. I simply don't care. Some completely irrelevant beauty pagent contestant becomes public enemy number 1 because of that comment. She stated her OPINION and based on the reaction, you would have thought she was rounding up homosexuals and decapitating them.

If a celebrity used the word "him" in reference to Jenner, it would be the top story on every media outlet and it would not be over until "they" had done everything possible to make sure that the person's career was absolutely destroyed. When it comes to this subject, people are actively LOOKING for villains and LOOKING for things to be offended by.

Acceptance is simply not enough. These people want agreement and they will attack anybody who doesn't comply. I have said it multiple times but it bears repeating. I don't care who someone is attracted to. I don't care who someone screws. It is a zero impact whatsoever on my life, but if you try to FORCE me to be on your side, chances are that I am going to go the other direction.
