It won't be. Here in Ohio there are multiple school districts that modified student records to show they had withdrawn from school and then re-enrolled.

That drops their grades and attendance records from the calculations used for reporting to the State Dept of Education and the Feds and makes the school looks better on paper.

The Superintendent of the Columbus Public Schools has announced her "retirement" at the end of this school year. Her retirement is, of course, completely unrelated to the dummied up data reported by the district.....

The public school system is probably the most corrupt entity of government simply because the 'chillun' are held hostage. No one dares to challenge.

Weakened curriculums, historically sanitized schoolbooks, teaching political correctness, ammoral values enforced, unashamed and unequalled financial waste and financial unaccountability and from the top to the bottom, the universal unchanged solution to all academic woes: 'mo money, 'mo money, 'mo money!

That summarized the entire plight of the public school system in one tidy paragraph. Nicely done Ratdude.

Ya know, for the longest time, I thought it was just El Paso's school system that was corrupt to this extent. The more I read, it seems like a nationwide epidemic.

Hell no Friz, you're right, it's an epidemic. Just watch as the whole democratic world rushes blindly into socialism/communism. Everyone is "Entitled" now, "Give Me" is the new mantra of the next generation. Believe me, America is not alone with this problem

"Give Me" might be the way there thinking, but there's going to be less to "give" in the near future...I would be willing to bet that in the next few years there will be far less hand outs then in the past, for no other reason then the money won't be there..College grants and scholarships will become almost none existent,( Im seeing this now at the school my daughter just graduated from) and most of the free money handed out by the government in the past for unemployment and welfare will be cut way back..There already seriously talking about cutting back Medicare and Social Security......I don't think most Americans realize just how bad a shape the U.S. is really in.. It won't be a choice of should we, or shouldn't we, cut this program, it's going to be cut for lack of money.,, Like it or not, its going to happen...."Mark my words".......WW

PS....Sorry for the rant....

Doesn't matter how badly the libs want entitlements.....when we're $50 trillion in the hole (coming soon), the whole currency is going to collapse. Hyperinflation will follow, with the value of your life savings evaporating to zero in months. Chaos follows.

And we did this to ourselves.

It's amazing to me just how idiotic governments are. Most business owners can see trouble coming and begin to do what ever they need to do to survive before the shit hits the fan. Governments on the other hand, not only wait to the shit hits the fan, but proceed to continue right through it, seemingly oblivious to what is really happening around them. Power at any cost people, the country be damned.

Personally, I do not think the world realizes the impact this will have on the global economy and I for one am very nervous. The man steering your ship right now is quite lost and infact he's drowning

George Soros? He and Barry aren't lost, they're set for life. All the money, drugs, power, and women they'll ever want and no consequences. And to hell with the rest of us.

Two very valid points. But you see, business owners can't just crank up the printing presses and print themselves FRN's like the govt can. Well, for now anyway. But it's going to come home to roost....and very soon.

And yes, the USA drives the world economy. And if we implode, so does the entire world economy.....which is the only reason things are still going as well as they are. The world could call in our debt any time they want to....but doing so would be financial suicide. It's in everybody's interest to keep the game going as long as possible....but at some point, the debt load will be unsustainable.

Americans own a massive share of their own debt....contrary to popular myth, the Chinese and the Arabs own a relatively small share of it....but in terms of dollars, it's still astronomical. Think of it in these terms....you earn $50K a year. You take home $3000 a month after taxes. You owe $600K on your house, and the payment is eating up 70% of your take home pay. You have $900 a month left over. You have $600 in car payments, $400 a month in groceries, and have a $75K balance on your credit cards at 24% interest....and the interest alone is eating up $500 a month. Utilities and insurance are eating up another $500 a month. You still spend $400 a month on entertainment. To make up the deficit, you keep taking out new credit cards and other lines of credit. You are a microcosm of the USA right now.

Never in my wildest dreams when I was young did I think it would come to this. Yet here we are.

The one thing that is VERY important to remember....we left the gold standard decades ago. Therefore, our debt = our money supply. The more debt there is, the more cash is floating around in circulation. And there more there is of something, the less valuable it becomes....to the point where nobody wants it anymore.

That is the tipping point....when nobody wants it anymore.

This is something I could never get my head around. Who in their right mind could possibly think printing more money could ever be a good idea

What I don't get is where did these people get this mentality.. Spend , spend and spend some more.. I grew up knowing that if you want something, you save your money till you have enough to purchase that item, and then you get it, and I have passed this on to my children.. Who the hell were the parents of the children that let them think it's ok to charge until your charge cards are maxed out, and then you get a new card and start again..Where did these kids learn this and why didn't the parents correct this flawed thinking before they left home.. I think alot of parents just let their kids grow up without direction or guidence to do what they wanted , and this is what happened to them..That's the only thing I can think it would be....WW

How can you pass on financial knowledge and responsibility to your kids that most of these parents don't know or can even comprehend themselves? ... The short answer.....Somebody else will pay for all of my screw ups, hence the "Why should I give a shit attitude" I'm entitled"

These people, with this attitude are in for a rude awakening very shortly...What are they going to do when the government cuts them off, they have no money , no job and no food... This is one good reason to have guns, when these people try to raid my home and take the food and belongings from my family, I'll have a pile of dead "Im entitled" azzholes lying in the front yard...WW
