My kids feature film now included with Prime
https://www.amazon.com/BENEATH-Enzo-...s%2C183&sr=8-1
I also noticed his name is part of the link on Amazon Amazon.com/BENEATH-Enzo-Monfre/... Wow. The boy noticed this yesterday when he was here and said he was going to call the director and say “where’s my money, bitch!” None of the cast was compensated. No contracts. The director is a young guy who likely didn’t know any better. But I would assume Amazon pays some amount to the film maker to include in Prime. He should pay something to the cast. Especially if the boys name is used to promote the film. He has also won the only awards at festivals. It’s a B movie with essentially a $5k budget. The cast is made up of the kids that actually work at the cavern. Enzo is the only one with any experience and I think it shows. I could be biased. He plays a smart ass. What a stretch. It starts a little slow but gets pretty convincing about halfway through. The ending is a shocker. I’d love to see what you guys think. |

It’s not Gone With The Wind but it’s a solid first work for director/writer. Kid has done a few movies but never in a leading role. The director wrote the part specifically for Enzo. “Daniel” is basically Enzo. Smart ass. Instigator. Sarcastic.
As the film ran, about halfway through, I started to suspend my disbelief. I didn’t notice until the ending. I was shocked shitless. I realized I was shocked because Enzo and the girl (Brooke) are surprisingly good actors as the action ramps up. She works there too and is a very sweet kid. So if you peep it, make sure you get to the action. The ending is not what you would expect from the genre. No spoilers! |

Well, I will have to check this out! I saw an ad for it but didn't realize it was the same movie.
Many years ago they shot "The Night The Lights went Out In Georgia" here. Kristy McNichol movie. A few locals got bit parts, mostly background stand ins and such. Friend got a couple of lines of dialogue. We still give her crap about that when we all get together. My father in law (at the time) owned a mobile home repair business and got the contract for maintenance on all the trailers. He told us he walked in on McNichol and another female "flagrante delicto" once. We figured he was full of crap and then a few years later she came out. |

We'll put it on our watch list. Great time of year for some spookage.

I watched it last night.
Acting needs work, but for a movie made by some kids on a 5k budget, they did good. I hope it pays off for them in some way that they can continue growth in this area. |
