Procedure went well....Dr. said the full effect will not show close to 9 months...when I asked him why he explained that what they did will remodel the esophagus and it takes that long to happen.
Laurie is in a good amount of pain,they gave her pain meds and Dr. will check in the morning to see how she is doing. We like the doctor a lot and look forward to this working. Well.....3 months later we went back to Dr. in Princeton and he was very pleased in her progress. She is feeling much better ,nowhere near 100% (yet) but much better for sure. He explained to us that the energy put into the esophagus through the needles is controlled of course by a computer and if the esophagus in that area can not take it all the computer will shut down that needle....well he said her esophagus took the full amount in each needle and that's why he thinks she was one of the few that had a lot of discomfort and pain for 3 or 4 days.
She explained to him she feels "something"going on right here (she showed him) and he said that's exactly where the procedure was done and that is the "remolding" that is taking place and will continue for another 6 to 9 months So anyway,he is pleased,she is pleased,I am pleased and we all are hoping that it continues to "remodel" and cure her for good Laurie told him that if she were to need a touch up treatment down the road she would not hesitate . We'll go back in 3 more months and are hoping things will be even better. |
