I have a 3500 Denali dually, an Audi S6, the wife drives an Escalade. There's a big ass camper in my driveway and many other things that I don't need.

My retirement is looking just fine.

If you want to drive a busted ass Camry, go for it.

You clearly have no clue what exponentially means. Or you're a multibillionaire. I'm betting it's not the latter.

I know quite well how investments work. Ours are working very well for us, and we don't have to worry about how much we spend on vacations, vehicles, or anything else.

I also understand what exponentially means, which you clearly don't.

No. Don't hold your breath waiting for it. But then, who wants a picture of a 10 year old Camry?

Another thing you won't see are his net worth totals over the last 5 years.

I use 2 gallons each way
2 gallons x 10 trips = 20 gallons.
20 gallons = $63.00/wk
$3276.00 a year

If my mileage doubled.
I'd save $1638.00/year

So I should buy some car I hate driving for the sake of $1638.00 a year? No thank you. I'll keep hogging down gas in my truck that I enjoy.

When you start buying me vehicles, you can dictate what makes sense.

If my retirement hinges on $1638.00, I'm fkd. That's UD money.
52 miles a week? Damn.

I drive that one way to work each day.

There is nothing wrong with investing. There is nothing wrong with saving money on some key things.

But some day, if you are lucky, you will realize that sometimes your investments return enough in any given hour to go buy a new platinum F250 for cash and really not care for one second that it’s depreciating because in the next hour you can buy another.

Someday you might be really lucky to see that as I suspect some of these old boomer retirees are already able to do. And others as well.

I heard that! I do business in 6 counties and a 100 mile day is normal, I often do 200. I believe I did 135 today. And it is a pleasure to have a nice rig when you spend that much time in your truck.

My dad bought his 1st new truck in 1973, a Dodge with the extra "Club Cab", and I think it was about $2,200.00. So scratching a check for a new Super Duty in 2021 was painful.

My commute to work is through the kitchen, past the coffee pot, then into the office. No driving involved.

Have had my Jeep about a month. It has 2000 miles on it.

Pre-COVID I would do 36K a year. Down a little now as I don’t go in every day.

To be fair, the taillights on a 10 year old Camry aren't fugly.

Have the misses show you where the fuel door is and how to work the gas pump.

Wow. I’m at the pump twice a week.

I’m looking at getting a diesel tank at the farm. Not really any cost savings but it sure would be convenient.
