I was denied a job for a USTA, United states tennis association, representative for the summer in addition to working at a Tennis club that I have been working at for the past 4 years going on 5, in Orlando. It would be a great position for me to add to my resume, and to benefit the organization to expand the members . I would be teaching potential new members 5 days a week and could easily double the numbers, but ready for the reason I did not get the position. I did not list the fact that I have Facebook experience on my resume. Are we seriously now basing jobs off of Facebook experience.

I took it that they wanted the applicant to have experience with the Facebook, didn't see that listed on the OP's application, and automatically rejected him out of hand, which seems short sighted, because most college age folks are on the Facebook. I wouldn't have thought to list that on an application as a skill set either, unless it was specifically mentioned as a requirement for the job.

Seems like all they had to do was ask, unless they found another applicant so awesome that they just interviewed and hired that other guy right away.

Apparently as a good thing, but every person who I have ever interviewed with sees Facebook as a negative, let alone even think about listing it on a resume

This is considered a paid internship and the listing was for a Tennis player to help support the Marketing and Promotion of tennis programs. I thought great, I work hand in hand with parents and their kids in classes that they enrolled in, talking between 800-1000 kids/ parents that will have been taught by me.
