I've taken over a thousand flights and checked luggage on hundreds of those. Only twice have they had to deliver my luggage to the hotel. You must have the bad juju

I don't check bags to avoid this problem.

I can live out of a carry on for a week long biz trip easy.

I don't have time to bullshit waiting for checked bags.

Constant international (and some domestic) travel for 11 years my luggage has been 'lost/left' 4 times. Surprisingly United only left my luggage once and that was a flight from Frankfurt to Dulles which worked out well for me since they delivered to my house it within a few hours. The other 3 times was it was Air France, go figure.

Guess i'm one of the lucky few.
