Back in the late 70’s early 80’s I saw Heart numerous times. I remember at Colorado Sunday when Anne Wilson sang Crazy On You her voice was absolutely piercing at stadium volume. Painfully so. But incredible. They were louder than AC/DC which is a feat u to itself. No wonder I have hearing loss.

I saw them in 1997 but to be honest I don't remember much of it. I had to confirm that the memory was real by checking to see that they played where I remembered in that time frame.

I am no expert, but once engineers tuned voices in the studios, vocals became fake. But, from Barry Gibbs, Andrea Bocelli, Geoff Tate, Freddie Mercury, etc etc. Some people have it, and when they sing live, without instruments, you hear they are very good.
But, it all depends on your taste. Many great singers out there.
