That’s the guy that replaced SRV and later, Jimmie Vaughan in Fabulous Thunderbirds. He has also played with Anson Funderburg, Roomful of Blues - likely others. He is pretty humble so he doesn’t talk about it.

He has a really creative way of interpreting blues and is as solid as they get. I dig how low key he plays it at the beginning then his solo gets ferocious.

Also note that he is always looking up and watching for cues. Love playing with him. I get to do songs that I can’t sing and play at the same time.

I'm jealous, after years of playing at some point I realized if I worked hard with lots of practice I might be mediocre some day.... Back to the piano for now - I don't have to think as much....
