Well last night i had my gun safe open...i was pleading with my guns not to shoot somebody. I guess they listened, because not a single one of my EBR's even so much as moved on their own, let alone shot anybody.

Virginia got tired of all the murders in Washington coming from guns purchased there. So what did they do? They passed a law saying you can only buy one gun a month.

Now most of the guns used to kill people in DC are purchased from states farther south.

We need federal laws.

That's exactly right. I don't see any compromise on that issue. Of course, as a libertarian, I feel that way about lots of things. Coincidentally, as a Libertarian, I'm used to losing, whether it is foreign policy, welfare, guns, drugs, seat belt laws, alcohol laws, smoking bans, whatever. Just don't ask me to voluntarily vote to give up my rights and freedoms, or, for that matter, the rights and freedoms of others.

You may be, no, you probably are right that even more gun control up to and including mass grabbing by govt. will occur. I still won't voluntarily walk to the collection center, nor will I voluntarily vote for those who will vote to set up those collection centers.

And I do understand that you are not promulgating or promoting gun grabbing, just giving the (valid, IMHO) opinion that grabbing and curtailing of gun rights will happen, sooner or later.
