So my hotel in Jersey City...

ROCKS!!!

I just ordered 2 4k monitors online from the airport and sent them to the hotel. The hotel staff will have them set up in my room before I get there, and put them in safe storage when I leave. I don't even have to touch them. I will also be leaving personal effects like large bottles of shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash and the likes. Hell, I will likely leave a warm jacket there when I arrive on the 17th so I don't have to try and cram it in the suitcase on every flight.

Additionally, they override the reservation and give me the best room in the hotel.

Best customer service I've ever experienced from a hotel. To date, not even counting the front desk and maid staff, I have a great relationship with 3 different managers and the bartender. They always call me by name and go out of their way to great me when I'm on property.

I'm never in the same hotel for more than a week per year. It's really nice to be appreciated, that's all most folks really want for spending their money. (companies $$ anyway

What group are you staying with? I've ventured to Marriott the last couple years and they've been pretty good.

Can't come out for beers as I fly out early Mon am for Orlando for the week.
I return the 21st and head to Boston the 22nd.

Then onto RI the 23rd returning home Mar 1st

Then to Cali Mar 4th

We'll catch up later in March.

Hilton (DoubleTree Jersey City). I am Diamond with them, so that certainly helps as well. Beyond the 17-22nd, I'll be there again Mar 3-8.

And quite likely 2 weeks after that, and after that, and a...well you get it.

Hey Craig - I want to upgrade my graphics card and run TWO 4K monitors about 32" each. I will be doing video editing of drone vids - 4K. I have 2 1080p 27 inch monitors now using just std on board video ... suggestions?

If I were replacing my Gforce GTX 1070's today, I'm pretty sure this is what I'd get: clicky

It will run up to 4 monitors and will handle any complex video processing with ease.

Just came on the market, and currently shows out of stock, but worth searching/waiting for.

We have a similar experience with a hotel in California. My wife being Vietnamese she likes to go to Little Saigon in Garden Groove and Westminster. We stay at the same hotel (Vietnamese owned) and they know us. When we go out there I call them up and they make sure we have a nice room and they make us feel welcomed.

So I just arrived. Had to take the late flight because of racing today. Got here at 11:30, bar closes at 11. Regardless, I'm on the top floor in the best room, with these waiting for me in my room. Front desk lady gave me 4 bottles of water and 2 cookies, and she called the bartender to take care of me. 4 Bud Lites comped...

I gave him a hefty tip, but holy cow, this is what I call customer service. They made me feel like the most important person they saw today.
