I remember Mom as a one tough old lady, cracking skeleton joints going up/down stairs in a center hall colonial....and Dad feeling weaker and outta it in his final daze.....then Mom calling us/family and getting Dad to the hospital on end of week, and 3 am Sunday getting the call.....

then everyone in the family getting over there to see after Mom.....

Some good news:

She is moving to the adjoining Long Term Care facility today.

she'll get good, regular meals, physical therapy to improve stamina, but will be quarantined for 14 days, so family cannot have direct contact for that time period. that will be tough on Dad.

I'm sorry to hear she is struggling. I don't want to pry, but WHAT THE **** is up with a 14 day quarantine? Has she had any COVID symptoms?

no symptoms on her end. they want to make sure that she or any visitors don't introduce it to the facility.

talked with Dad this PM, Mom's in her room (private), ate all of lunch, and I have a phone number that will patch thru to her room, so i'll call her tomorrow AM (before she gets tired from PT).

but she does know that NHL hockey begins in about 2 weeks (I got her a personalized Caps jersey last year for her birthday, has her name and her age on it.).
