It kicked my ass solid for 2 wks. Not bad enough for hosp. but, all the other symptoms on the list. I lived on a half piece of bread and bottle of water each day. My first hint was I woke up one morning like a truck had hit me. My body never ached all over pain. I've read that about others that had it. At the onset I also had the loss of taste/smell. One of my fav. places and meals I questioned if they had changed their recipe or cooking method. Everything tasted weird. When it hit me hard I had a bad cough and like my lungs were full of something that I couldn't cough up. I am just now back to normal lung function. I think forcing myself to walk some, etc...got my lungs stretched back out to normal so they work better. During the sickness, it was just mild or shallow breaths. Never those deep breaths needed to stretch your lungs to make them function 100%. VERY weak and every other symptom on the list.

Those that have had it or might get it. My Dr. said take NAC supplement. It's the only thing that will help restore lung function. It's OTC, but, I can't find it in stores and had to order online. 600mg

A Dr. last night said the vaccine is only be good for 3 months or so..I imagine that means 4x trips a year if you want to stay immune. He said those that have had Covid their immunity may only be good for 1-2 months. I think the crap is a life changer. Just like 9/11. Life will be different from now on because of it.

I wore a mask. I washed my hands religiously. I used sanitizer. I would even was down the shopping cart handle personally to make sure it had been sanitized. I avoided crowds. I did EVERYTHING and more on the list and still caught it. I hate to say it. But, I imagine EVERYONE will catch it. It's just a matter of time. Your eyes are exposed to it. The holes in your ears. Just think about how many damn holes you have in your head and a paper mask ain't going to protect you or anyone else 100%.

If you awake one morning like a truck run you over. If you notice any of your normal food tasting even just a tad off or not the same. Get to your Dr. I rode it out at home. But, all the symptoms on the list hitting you at the same time will kick your ass.

Glad to hear you're doing better.
I was dismissed from the hospital(13 days), last Wednesday(11/11/2020)
My problem is oxygen, but I'm slowly getting back to independence.
During the day while resting, I don't need it but my heart rate is 100-130. When walking around, I require 1.5 ml to maintain 95% oxygen. A big improvement over the 4ml needed last week. I do sleep at night with 1ml running thru my nose to reduce my heart rate to normal levels (70s).
Slowly getting there, and as you allude to, this stuff is a life changer for some.

Check into the NAC supplement. My Dr. highly recommended it and try to do some lung exercises to stretch them. Are you on a concentrator or tank? You may want to order a few extra hoses and cannulas. You don't want to be in a situation were it's an emergency if one gets a hole in it.

Masks are bad news for people without symptoms. You can be certain, the more you wear one, the higher the likelihood you will contract Covid. I think the rise in cases supports this. More and more business require them yet we continue to see increases in cases.

When will the science stop ignoring the reality?

Interesting statistic...only 12% of the time, does a person with Covid in the home, infect another person in the home. These are people that LIVE TOGETHER, yet I somehow I am a danger because I passed someone for 5 seconds in the grocery store.

I have gone all the same places and done all the same things for MONTHS and was unaffected. Suddenly I had to wear a mask at work and an entire office gets COVID. Seriously, is there a bigger WTF than that?

do you have a link that says that?

Got a ton of stuff from the home med supplier.
I have a concentrator with a 25' hose that I'm now using only 8 hours a day overnight.
7 portable tanks, about 2 to 4 hours per tank, plus numerous nose cannulas.
I do have a mask I use with the concentrator because my sinuses plug as soon as I lay on my stomach (weight off lungs).
Sinuses has been my weakness throughout the whole ordeal.

I most likely contacted it from my wife, in our home.
Didn't wear a mask at work, and I stayed away from people. Luckily,
no spread at work because of me.
Whenever out in public (indoors) or shopping, I always wore a mask.

This is what sux, You just never know when/how it will happens.

Well this doesn't sound too good at all. I've been diagnosed with COPD and am at 60% on the FEV1 test. Initially I responded very well to Anoro but after 6 months I was back to 60%. I'm on Trelegy now and I have some Welbuterol inhalers but I don't feel the need for those. 4 people around me in the office have gotten it but so far I'm clear. Hope it stays that way as I might not have much more lung function to lose.

Try to stretch your lungs and exercise them the best you can. A spirometer is great for it. Get a pulse/ox meter if you don't have one.

Do you use a nebulizer?

flange went to the keys in february, returning mid march. feb 26th flange had 103 degree fever, couldnt taste a fkin thing, and was seriously struggling to breathe due to high levels of flem. i felt like i was drowning for nearly a week. covid testing was just being discussed. ultimately, due to working extensively around healthcare, flange got tested daily for about a month. no positives by then, but antibody test showed it was positive. assumption is i had it while in the keys, solely based on having antibodies and of course the symptoms.

while drowning down there, i took a steady diet of claritan, musenex and copious amounts of vodka. the combo helped until i sobered up each morning.

Always good to have extra supplies! I watched a doctor use “medical” superglue as a temporary repair on a groshong catheter that had a small split in it. He said the trick was not to use too much.

After 12 days of COVID, I just tested negative !!! If I test negative on Monday, I can return to work.

2 nights of chills
3 days of constant fever
10 days of stomach issues
7 days with no sense of smell (and counting)
4 days of congestion
2 days of coughing (still mild coughing)
13 days of yo-yo temperatures with 101.1 being the most recent last night and a peak of around 102.4 a couple days ago.

I woke up this morning and I knew something flipped. I knew there was a change even though I still felt very fatigued. I arranged to go get tested and found out a short time ago it was negative.

My summary:

The flu = Hitting your thumb with a hammer
Covid = Having your thumb caught in vice grips for two weeks

Hard to say which is actually worse. I equate Covid to someone with their finger and inch from your face saying "I'm not touching you" endlessy 24/7 for two weeks.

Sounds like you had all of the terrible symptoms of Covid-19, and didn’t even benefit from getting possible Covid immunity. That kind of sucks to have been that sick, and to know you could still get Covid any day... Even my actual Covid wasn’t as bad as what you had. sorry...

Information I recently saw was that immunity can last up to 6 months. I expect mine to be no different.

*** I think you misunderstood my post. I had COVID. Today I tested negative for it. Meaning the viral load has subsided so as to no longer be detected.
