Every year I have what I've called an "Orphan's Thanksgiving." I send out an Email to all my friends saying that if they have no where to go, they're not crazy about where they're going or they feel they may require hospitalization if they go there, they are welcome at my house. I usually wind up with a crowd. This year, both kids will be back too.

PM the address. If the MIL shows up, I'll have a place to go.

Well...I heard from our son today that our daughter and son-in-law are thinking of not having Thanksgiving and she will probably call us tomorrow to tell us ....we thought that we might try the Pop Eyes Cajun Turkey as we saw the commercial ....called to order but was told they are not having it this year....so why run the commercial
If it's just the wife and I we'll do a small turkey or maybe a Costco chicken...if she makes her stuffing it will be a great meal

We cheated and bought the stuffing and Cranberry sauce from GFS. Stuffing is great and the cranberry sauce is awesome. Just the wife and I again this year so maybe a little smoked turkey with the stuffing and mashed taters.

Well, outside dining is still allowed. Of course, it’s winter in Michigan.

The only thing that surprises me is she didn't go farther with it this time. Fortunately I didn't make any Thanksgiving plans but will be attending a protest where there might just also be some turkey and dressing.

@04 commemorative you have to call around at different Popeye's for the Turkey. I called 3 Popeye's before I found one doing it. Also, they show up pre-cooked and frozen on weekly trucks to stores. Lady told me to pick it up last Wed @ 10:00AM...

since then, we are going to kids

Unless some Governor or other ****s it up, we are planning on me, the wife, my son coming in from Boston, and my daughter and her boyfriend coming in from CA. 5 humans and the pooch, which is what we have had for a few years now. Very low key, but my wife makes AWESOME sweet potatoes in the crock pot!

play it safe; take one year off from these calendar-type gatherings.

Once the vaccine is available... then you can relax (in spite of what the media will still be saying).

just me and my mother at home. The rest of the family are each staying within their own immediate families too. No travelling really, as "the parents" are all in late 70's early 80's, not risking it.

I'm social distancing from family here.... Go into different rooms and eat a turkey pot pie and leave me be.
