That color isn't my favorite, either, but I think it goes with the coastal lifestyle theme, and, depending on the age of the patio set, may be period correct.

And on a more pragmatic note, have you ever sat on black metal that's been baking in the Sun? Great way to get burned.

Have you been there long enough to experience a hurricane? I'm wondering about flooding issues/storm surge pushing up the bayou inlet. Being in Houston, flooding is always a concern. Folks from other parts of the country probably wouldn't really understand the concern.

Yep...I was here for Zeta Cat 3. No problem. House has storm shutters all around and sit high enough that it never flooded up near the house.
