I've worn a couple of pairs for a while, it's about the closest to pseudo hip an old white man like me can do.

I wear Vans and Puma suedes every once in a while.
I found they are great when I was a kid, and such. But as an adult, they kill your back and knees.

I was the right age to wear them when they came out. Never owned a pair. Back then, it was classic white canvas Nikes with the blue swoosh. Now......old guy white New Balance.

I used to wear the checkered red/black n white. Still have my Sant Cruz skateboard, just the board, from that era. The pic shows similar board, as thats how grip tape was applied back then, not all over the top.

Never. They were after my time. And looked stupid, IMO. I wore Jack Purcell's or Adidas. Today, I wear slip-on Sketcher's or Tefa sandals or hiking boots.
