Here in Orygun, 18 wheelers are prohibited by law from EVER using the left lane on a freeway. Yet they use it all the time

Had someone do a left from the far right lane right outside Ft. Eustis back in the 80's. Cars scattered like roaches. One car wrecked out, we ended up in the soft sand ditch but it didn't hurt the car. The offender went on base and was out of sight.

If he survives in sufficient condition to return to driving, I'll bet he does.

This is exactly how my sister drives. She will get in the right lane, AND TURN ON HER RIGHT TURN SIGNAL, and proceed to turn left. She has caused minor accidents this way, but just can't seem to learn her left from her right.

FWIW: If she and I are going somewhere in a car, I AM DRIVING. She doesn't even argue about it any more.

Been the victim of this more than once. It's shocking on a motorcycle. I think they mistake the left lane as oncoming. It is oncoming, just not from the direction they anticipate
