Default Active Handling "Warming Up"???

Have not had a chance to drive the Z in a few weeks. Well today took the wife to Breakfast. Was about 37 degrees around 8:30 this morning. After breakfast we started to pull away and I heard a warning Sound go off.. Like when you don't put your seat belt on, when I looked at the DIC I saw "Active Handling Warming up". I have never seen this before? About three minutes later I saw on the DIC Active Handling Warm. Any Idea why this happened? Is this normal?

After we got home we took my DD to get the groceries. I decided I wanted to go for a more aggressive ride as I have to be mild with the wife. I pulled out of the Garage, while I was waiting for her to warm up I went back into the garage for a minute and noticed a puddle of Coolant on the Garage floor! I shut her down and tried to see were it was leaking. I could not tell but I did here what sounded like a vacuum leak and coolant around back of the drivers side head light closer to the reservoir and around the lower hose on the radiator side. As soon as I have time and it warms up a little more I will have to jack her up and take a better Look!

I get the Active Handling "Warming Up" also sometimes. I only get it at work sometimes when creeping out of the parking lot so I don't scrap. Something to do with getting a baseline reading within first 100 feet of driving. If it goes away next trip it isn't anything to worry about.

Good luck on your coolant leak.

Interesting, as there were many Speed Bumps I was creeping extremely slow on my way out!
Thx

You are supposed to go buy a small space heater and fix it now while it is cold, so you can enjoy it when it warms up a little.

Your right, my garage is to darn small and the snow is not making it any easier!!
Highest 24-hour snowfall on record. 12.7"

Yesterday 2/11/10

My neighbors tree broke due to the weight of the snow. She is lucky she moved her car.
Today 2/12/10

Well She is Jacked up and trying to find the coolant leak!

I need more room, I hate my Garage, way to small!!

Not able to find leak, going to change out lower hose as I see a lot of coolant on the bottom and it looks like the oldest hose. If this dose not work then I guess I will have to pay the dealer to look at it..

The Lower clamp looks to be off alignment also.

When I was looking for the leak I notice a bunch of Crap on the radiator, Dam!!

Cleaned that up!

That's a lot of Crap!

Now I need to fix the leak and change the oil..

Tried to replace lower hose today, no luck as no one has one. Dealer, O'Riley's, and Auto Zone all have to order it.. I will order one on Monday, will see if this fixes the problem? Oil is changed....
